Wallace Rockhole enjoys long hot summers. During summer it is hard to keep youngsters amused and Council is currently investigating construction of a lagoon style wading pool to be completed in time for the next hot onslaught.

Sporting facilities planned or already under construction include a multi purpose court for basketball, tennis and indoor cricket; a softball area; an oval for Aussie rules, a gymnasium and an Internet Café for Community Members and Tourists.

For the less active, Council is organising a musicians school to assist young musician to improve their instrumental and songwriting skills, has installed industry standard karaoke equipment in the community hall and is developing a club like atmosphere for such sports as 8 ball and darts.
