History

Wallace Rockhole is located on the Urana Land Trust and began as an outstation. The town was built in 1973 by the Abbott family when they moved from the large Hermannsburg Mission.

In 1877 the Lutheran's opened the Hermannsburg Mission. They included a large cattle station which was used to support the mission. The cattle station continued to operations right through to 1983.
